JANET(UK) Appoints New Chair

JANET(UK) has today announced the appointment of Roger McClure to be its Chair from August 1st when the current incumbent, Professor Geoff Peters, steps down. Roger has recently retired from the post of Chief Executive of the Scottish Funding Council to take on a portfolio of board level responsibilities. An alumnus of Cambridge University, he brings with him a rich understanding of research and the diverse educational landscape of the UK. His informed knowledge of the stakeholder community, whether they are institutions, funding councils or government, provides him with a unique insight into the needs and challenges of this important sector.
