Audio Network

London Grid for Learning hosts the Audio Network Music & Sound Library and Services on behalf of the Regional Broadband Consortia. Schools in England access the content via their RBC interconnect to JANET. Schools in Northern Ireland and Scotland access the service through the JANET interconnect to their national schools networks.

Audio Network is a revolutionary service for media producers and directors who need high quality music without the usual costs and hassles. All of the music is originally composed and recorded to the highest industry standards and copyright is cleared for world-wide use.

The Regional Broadband Consortia's Education Licence with Audio Network brings the benefits of online distribution and an holistic approach to teachers and students who can choose from over 3,000 music files in MP3 format for "creative uses" in education without charges. A simple one-step process is available should work produced need to be distributed into the public or commercial domain without concerns for copyright.  

Please note that the RBC licence does NOT include free access to the Audio Network commercial services which also include sound effects.

The Education Licence is available to universities and colleges and the University of Glamorgan has obtained a Licence to access the files from the LGfL servers across the RBC and JANET interconnects.
